Clear answers about purchasing, access, the host-family dashboard, and how training works before arrival.
Who should buy the course — host family or au pair?
▾
Host-family purchase is recommended because it unlocks the host-family dashboard and makes assigning + tracking effortless. Au pairs can also self-purchase and later share progress with a host family via invitation + consent.
How does it work?
▾
You purchase the course, assign your au pair by email, and track progress in your host-family dashboard. Your au pair watches the lessons in the app before arrival.
How long is access?
▾
Access is 12 months from payment activation for an au-pair self-purchase, or from first invitation acceptance for a sponsored course. Retakes are allowed during this period.
Is it one purchase per au pair?
▾
Yes — each purchase is assigned to one au pair via email (one mobile account).
What happens if the placement ends early?
▾
An unused allocation can be stopped and reassigned. If training has started, the sponsor can pause access, but the original 12-month expiry date does not change. Certificates already earned remain recorded.
Will my au pair actually complete the training?
▾
You can track progress chapter-by-chapter in your host-family dashboard, so you don’t have to guess whether training is underway.
What topics are covered?
▾
The guided path covers au pair basics, arrival and cultural integration, household routines, childcare, and well-being — with practical lessons based on real host-family situations.
Do I need an agency account?
▾
No. Host families and au pairs can use Au Pair Training directly. Agencies can also participate where supported by the platform.
What’s your refund policy?
▾
Please see the refund policy in our Terms & Conditions. Read the Terms.
Do I pay VAT / taxes?
▾
Taxes may apply depending on your country. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout before payment is completed.
Where can I learn more about invitations and privacy?
▾
